                                                                             Hubert E. Talley
                                                                   (November 3, 1926 - June 7, 2009)

 
Sunday, June 7, 2009 at age 82 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, LA. A life resident of Covington, he lived the last 2 years at the Louisiana War Veterans home in Jackson, LA.

The beloved husband of Ouida Taylor Talley for almost 65 years, he is survived by four sons: G.A. “Al”, Joel E., Robert T. and Richard H. Talley; two brothers: Russell and Amos “Bill” Talley; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna King Talley and two brothers, John T. Talley and Joel Talley.

His six grandsons will act as pallbearers: Andrew, Adam, Alex, Matthew and Bankston Talley and Beau Richard.

Mr. Talley served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Occupation of Japan. Following his military service, he became an engineer for the Louisiana Highway Department.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 11:30 AM from Fitzgerald United Methodist Church, 80007 Fitzgerald Church Rd., Covington, LA 70435.

A wake is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 6-9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433

Visiting hours Wednesday AT THE CHURCH will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow services at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fitzgerald United Methodist Church, 80007 Fitzgerald Church Rd., Covington, LA 70435.
