This Saturday and Sunday October 19 & 20, 2013 our Chapter will be at:    Sam's Club in Denham Springs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
         each day
The purpose is to solicit donations for a drawing on several pieces of art. It is also a way for us to raise some funds for all our activities which support not only MOPH recipients, but veterans, active duty military, police, fire, and EMS personnel.
One of the several pieces is a framed print. It was donated by Gerard Furniture. The work is called Bonfires on the Mississippi River by Burny Myrick.
Donation chances are:    1 for $5 or 3 for $10
If citizens do not want to take a chance any donation will gladly be accepted and appreciated.
Please show up after 10 a.m. and wear your MOPH shirts and hats.
If you are unable to come there in the morning, please try to stop by anytime before 4 p.m. on both or either days.
For those taking chances, we only need their name and either, a telephone number (cell or land line) or an e-mail address on the tickets so we can contact them if they win.
The drawing will be held on Veterans Day November 11, 2013.
At the next meeting we would like MOPH patriots to take  chances, so  be prepared to donate.
The proceeds support our activities, one of which is getting the lift for our float.
This is important.
In addition to our normal 50/50, Mr. Pat has donated a Turkey as a separate drawing from the 50/50.
There is no cost for this drawing. I have blue colored tickets that we will use.
One more important item:
The Port Allen Parade most likely will happen prior to our next meeting.  Either myself, Roland, or Tommy will get the word out via e-mail next week.
Please spread the word around when you get notification on any event to those that do not have e-mail.
