The 4H and FFA Junior Livestock Show and Sale for 2010 was held at the Covington Fair Grounds on Friday, January 29th.

Representing St. Tammany Voiture 224 were: Grand Chef de Gare Terry Sharp, Commissaire Intendant Stacy Miller and Locale Chef de Gare Roy Kellum.

We were greeted by a huge and beautiful double rainbow.

First off we enjoyed a free delicious dinner of sliced pork and gravy, seasoned red potatoes, tasty green beans, apple ca-pie and iced tea/hot chocolate.

There were many swine’s (hogs) to pick from.  On behalf of American Legion Post 16, Grand Chef de Gare Terry Sharp purchased at auction a 230 pound hog. The hog was exhibited by Tristan Rainey with the Folsom 4H. The winning bid price was under $3.00 per pound which included cut and wrap. What a great buy.
