Larry Townsend - In Memory

Larry Lee Townsend, 64 years old of Loranger, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Tuesday, March 16, 1948, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Mr. Townsend served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Boy Scouts of America. He also volunteered at the Veterans Administration in Hammond.
Surviving are his wife, Julie Foret Townsend; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, LaNette and Ernest Buras, and Mary and John Cloud; son & daughter-in-law, David and Bonnie Townsend; 2 granddaughters, Desiree Morris and Alexis Morris; and sister, Sandra Townsend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carol Jean Curtis and William Clayton Townsend; and brother, Terry Townsend.
Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
